LCDR Russell has served as enlisted on the USS Florida and was selected for the STA-21 program and commissioned in 2010. He has worked on the upgrade of several vessels and has lead teams with integrity. He is currently in the process of promoting to Commander and will take command of an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer in Mayport, FL.
