Tennessee Honor Vote

Lashlee, Mr Brett Warner

Branch: TN National Guard
Rank: Sergeant First Class
Years of Service: 1985 - 2022
I am honoring my brother, Brett Lashlee. As a member of the US Army Reserve & Tennessee Army National Guard, Brett served in the Acquisition and Logistics Corp as a Contracting Officer/Specialist and formerly served in the US Army Inspector General, Finance, and Medical Corp’s. Over his long military career, Brett completed 5 overseas deployments totaling 60 months of mobilized service, 52 of those months within imminent danger (and/or) “combat zones”. Brett’s military leadership credentials saw him serve as Section and Detachment Sergeant, Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge, Disbursing Officer, Contracting Officer, and Senior Enlisted Leader and was selected as “NCO of the Year” within his command organization. Brett’s military service began in 1985 and ended with his retirement in 2022. Brett finished his last deployment in May 2022, having been the first full-time county official and Tennessee County Mayor in history called up during service in elected office. In his career he earned 21 Federal Awards, and 5 State Awards along with many other award citations, designations, and recognitions. I am so proud of my brother for his love of God, Country and his family. Brett followed in my grandfather, William Carsey Gatlin who was a Navy CB, his uncle Ralph Rogers was in the Army (WWII POW); his uncle, John Wyly Lashlee Jr was in the Navy and his uncle our mother's brother, Col. Robert Bruce Gatlin retired from the Army after 31 years (service from Vietnam all the way through Desert Storm).
