Tennessee Honor Vote
Watson, Mr Thomas
Branch: Army
Rank: Private
Years of Service:
1950 - 1953
Born in McCreary County, KY, who moved to Oneida, TN. Without hesitation joined the United States Army after receiving his draft papers enlisted to help the war effort in Korea during the Korean War. Which is historically known as the "Forgotten War". He left his newly married bride Alma Jean Davis Watson and went overseas. After completing his time in the Army with the war coming to an end, he settled down with his wife and had a daughter. He also opened a very successful, respected and well-known cabinet shop, which operated up to his death at the age of 82 November 15, 2014, at his home. He was an influence on those that knew him and a pure role model. He is missed by his loved ones and will always be known for his wise words and apparently a very well executed knife hand. He loved his family and his country, always trying to make both better throughout his life.
